Domestic Abuse – Direct 1:1 Awareness & Impact Work

Supporting Insight, Accountability & Safer Family Functioning

DSS Collective provides structured 1:1 domestic abuse awareness and impact work with parents, building insight, responsibility, and understanding of how domestic abuse affects children, parenting, and family dynamics. Support is delivered sensitively and proportionately, with a strong focus on safety, accountability, and emotional regulation. All sessions follow trauma‑informed, strengths‑based practice and align with safeguarding expectations.

What Is Domestic Abuse Awareness & Impact Work?

This intervention helps parents understand how domestic abuse affects children’s wellbeing, parenting capacity, and family relationships. Through guided reflection, they explore patterns of conflict, control, communication, and emotional regulation, gaining insight into how their behaviour influences safety and stability. It does not replace specialist services but complements statutory work by strengthening reflection, decision‑making, and engagement with safeguarding plans and multi‑agency expectations.

Commissioning & Referrals

DSS Collective delivers Family Time Supervision through formal commissioning arrangements with local authorities. We do not accept direct referrals from families.
